Essay

Dissertation is devoted to resolving technical-scientific problem related to sta-bilizing quality of bar-rolling, reducing of metal and energy resources during its production on the basis of perfection technological automation. The idea of the thesis is the process automation in the bar-rolling industry using the technological parameters observed on the basis of their interconnections with qualitative characteristics of marketable products. The task was formalized, and the criteria for interdependent control of opera-tions in production of cut length bars which automation ensures maximum possible output of these steel products have been substantiated. On the basis content of the magnetic phase electromagnetic control, the princi-ples of process automation for thermo-strengthening of bar-rolling production are substantiated. Scientifically proved solutions on identification of the mode of inter-cage ef-forts in the group of cages with consideration of stochastic character of the process of continuous rolling have been proposed. Results of the work have been implemented at the "Mittal Steel Kryviy Rih".
