Essay

The problem of dynamic chaos is considered for nonlinear systems with discontinuities. For billiards, a universal geometric-dynamic approach is proposed and new geometric-dynamic effects are predicted. For maps with a discontinuity a universal scenario of spontaneous transition to chaos is discovered. For optical systems a photometric law for chaotic collection and a spectrometric law for the regular collection have been predicted. A rigorous theory of multi-energy radiography has been constructed.
