Essay

In dissertation the results of experimental research of properties of light nuclei related to alpha-cluster configurations are presented. The experimental methods for carrying out correlation experiments using silicon position-sensitive detectors are developed. The measurements of excitation functions for different binary processes and the complete kinematics experiments are carried out aiming at the investigation of resonance interaction involving alpha-particles and alpha-cluster composites. The obtained experimental results can be interpreted as possible resonance interaction of the two alpha-particles having two relative distance values between them and when one alpha-particle is in excited state. It is shown experimentally that the existence of highly excited states in light nuclei is related to the properties of alpha-cluster configurations. The information on new excited states of beryllium isotopes with A = 7, 8, 9 and nucleus Mg24 is obtained. The explanation of formation mechanisms of some states in these nuclei is suggested. The obtained experimental results extend our present understanding of the structure of light nuclei related to the properties of nuclear cluster configurations and will be used for the development of appropriate theoretical models.
