Essay

The giant multipole resonances in 54,56Fe, 58,60,64Ni, 64Zn, 124Sn nuclei have been investigated by means of electron scattering. Fission of 232Th, 233U,235U,236U,238U nuclei was studded by polarized photons. The following effects were observed for the first time: additionaal quadrupole resonance at energy of excitation 51А(-1/3) MeV; monopole resonance; splitting of isovector quadrupole resonance. Spectroscopic characteristics of giant resonances were obtained. The analyzing power mass dependency on addition of neutrons was discovered for photofission of even-even nuclei.
