Babaev E. Surgical treatment of degenerative defeats of cervical spine, which cause compression of spinal cord and its counterfoils.

Dissertation is devoted to the problem of grounding and improvement of surgical treatment of cervical spine degenerative defeats, which cause compression of spinal cord and its counterfoils. Three clinical groups of compressive damages of spinal cord and its counterfoils, caused by degenerative defeat of cervical spine were distinguished: a myelipathy was found out in 92 (38,5%) patients, radikulopathy - in 80 (33,5%), radikulomielopaty - in 67 (28%). A volume and sequence (action algorithm) of most effective diagnostic researches was grounded. The selected features of surgical treatment of patients with the degenerative defeats of cervical spine, which caused the compression of spinal cord and its counterfoils, were generalized. The research results are inculcated in practical work of neurosurgical departments at many medical institutions of Ukraine.
