Essay

The important scientific problem has been theoretically carried out and practically solved as a result of theoretical and the experimental researches on the development of complex continuous cast bloom billet technology according to steelmarket demands. The solution of the problem based on the of research and analysis of liquid steel dynamics, heat and mass transfer in casted and crystallized liquid steel, development of the complex mathematical models for modelling of technological factors stress and development of the melted steel preparation technology to casting, rational and optimal conditions of casting, bloom crystallization and secondary cooling. On the base of computer modelling and experimental and statistic methods the heat and mass transfer regularities in tundish ladle and forming ingot have been obtained. Accordingly, new segregate behavior regularities in diphase condition zone have also been obtained and new techniques and technological improvements determining the forming ingot qualityhave been offered. The main results of the dissertation work have been implemented at Dniprovsky Metallurgical Plant and also at Metallurgical Department of Dniprodzerzhinsk State Technical University.
