Essay

The scientific foundations of the complex micro-alloying of the silicon steels with nitrogen, titanium and aluminum have been developed and a new class of steels with carbo-nitride strengthening (steels of the type SNTA) had been created. It was shown that steels of the type SNTA could be used in mass for manufacturing the economical rolled products of increased and high strength. The model for calculating the necessary limits of micro-alloying steels with nitrogen had been produced providing formation of the optimum structure with dispersed contraction cavity from steels of the type SNTA. Application of this model in practice ensures reduction of the head crop from 13-16 to 3.0-5.5%. The new in essence nitrogen-bearing ligatures have been developed as well as high-production technologies of manufacturing these ligatures alloying to ensure the unlimited in practice volume of melting the steels of the type SNTA.
