Essay

The self-organization models of low-dimensional condensed systems are studied. The rheological model is proposed describing the ultrathin lubricant film melting. Fragmentation of metals at severe plastic deformation is considered on the basis of phase transitions theory. The avalanche formation of granular mediums and explosive crystallization of amorphous films are described. It is shown that the anomalous properties of the nano- and submicrocrystals are caused by transition to the heterogeneous state.
