Essay

Phenomenological description of ferroelectric materials local polar-active properties is evolved. Thermodynamical theory of ferroelectric nanodomain formation caused by inhomogeneous electric fields is elaborated. The analytical theory of ferroelectric domain structure local piezoelectric response to excitation by the inhomogeneous electric field of nanosize external source is developed. Proposed theoretical approach was used for description of the charged defects, size effects and polarization screening influence on the polarization reversal in nanosize regions, local piezoelectric, pyroelectric and dielectric response of polar-active materials, and forming artificial nanodomain structure in ferroelectrics.Theoretical results of polar-active properties calculations were compared with available experimental results and the possibilities of the self-consistent analysis of experimental data were shown.
