Essay

The object is birds' diversity en route of Black-Mediterranean Sea Flyway. The aim is to elaborate the methods of integral monitoring of the birds' diversity on their migration routes together with capability to control the model birds' populations within entire area. The methods are integral approach, visual surveys, radar and radiotelemetry supervision, mathematical statistics. Influence of climatic and weather factors on diurnal migration was specified by means of radar technique and information from satellite systems. Some prognostic models of migration intensity were created to be used in flight safety system. An algorithm of birds' integral monitoring was suggested to estimate and predict their population trends by force of simultaneous use of radio telemetry, ground surveys, radar technique, and applied software. Having used these computer programs the design and comparative analysis of breeding and migratory birds' population trends were done for the first time for Black-Mediterranean Sea Flyway. The patterns of birds' number dynamics within the limits of their natural habitats were estimated as well. Spheres of application are flight operation safety, forecasting of potential danger of arboviruses, training courses.
