Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the decision of the important scientific problem and actual practical task - to perfect the methods of rock mass' crushing and to re-duce the volumes of toxic dust-and-gas emissions at mass explosions in the borrow pits. The theoretical approach to the study of physic-chemical and mechanical peculi-arities of explosive processes passing through the determination of correlations be-tween physical-mechanic and chemical-thermodynamic parameters of detonation processes. The peculiarities of reactions' passing in the front of wave's detonation for grounding and development of recommendations on improvement of rock mass crushing intensity and reduction of the formed toxic joints volumes has been estab-lished. The influence of various factors and conditions on passing of the ES' explo-sive transformation to the character of rock mass destruction and to the change of character of the chemical processes in the zone of a detonation wave, to the volume and structure of the toxic gases which have formed after the explosion have been de-termined. The degree of technological reliability of use the industrial, elementary and conversional ES during explosive rock mass breaking has been determined by ex-periment. It was developed the technological means and methods of realization of the volume reduction of the toxic emissions and their neutralizations in charging cavities when carrying out of explosive works by rational placing of appropriate neutralizers in blasthole charges.
