Lavrov V. Methodology of Ukrainian Forestry sustainable development: theory and practice

Modern scientific theoretical bases and problems, legal and institutional accompaniment of sustainable development and balanced nature resources using on international and national levels are considered as an orientation points for development of Ukraine forest industry. The status of process of concordance of the Ukrainian legislation in accordance with principles of sustainable development and norms of international ecological law is described. The International ecological requirements to forest resources' management and forest using in line with the agreements ratified by Ukraine and their adaptation peculiarities to the conditions of our State are analyzed. Problems and prospects of Forestry development in the context of improvement of resource legislation and nature protection legislation, National strategy of sustainable development of Ukraine and International requirements to the forests are considered. Taking into account the terms of transitional period of formation of market relations and other social relations as well as the program of movement of Ukraine to EU, the transition strategy of forest industry based on the principles of social-economic-ecologically balanced development on national, regional and local levels are offered. Those principles include directions of concordance of normative legal base and systemic mechanisms of integral management of forest resources and collateral threats, smooth collaboration with watershed nature resources users and Environmental protection groups.
