Essay

Object: Behaviour of three-dimensional Ising-like systems in the vicinity of the critical point. Aim: Development of the microscopic theory for describing the critical behaviour of systems belonging to the three-dimensional Ising universality class in the absence and presence of an external field. Methods: Collective variables method, method of successive approximations, steepest-descent method. Results: Microscopic approach to calculating and investigating the thermodynamic characteristics of three-dimensional Ising-like systems is developed using the non-Gaussian distributions of spin-density oscillation modes. Inculcation: Scientific publications. Applications: Theory of phase transitions and critical phenomena.
