Essay

The first choosing of compositions based on ZrO2 in the ZrO2-Y2O3-CeO2-Al2O3 system was proved on basis of the phase diagrams analysis of boundary systems. Сomplex investigations of physicochemical processes in nanocrystalline powders produced with hydrothermal decomposition in the alkaline medium were carried out. The physicochemical formation features of self-reinforced structure and laminated composites were determined based on produced powders. Bioinert implants of femoral heads with stability to "aging" during implant using in the human organism were produced also. The investigation results are the scientific foundation for the microstructure designing of fine-grained composites based on ZrО2 in the ZrO2-Y2O3-CeO2-Al2O3 system with increased strength behaviors and other properties.
