The research reveals the systemic analysis of the narrative discourse of the English modernist and postmodernist fiction which is the sign of a new topical approach to the study of fictional texts. The research displays the system of typological forms of exophasy and endophasy speech, manifests the analysis of their cognitive and communicative dynamics, being subordinated by the discourse frame of the fictional work. The research presents the fictional, framing models of textual communicators, narrative organization of the works of these trends. The research conveys the interdependence of discourse zones of the narrator and the characters in the English fiction of modernism and postmodernism.
