Essay

The thesis is devoted to cartilage and bone tissue condition investigation in patients with osteoarthritis. According to clinical duration of the disease, biochemical, immunological, ultrasound, X-ray, densitometric methods of investigation, MRI, and morphological indexes the differential approach to therapy depending on the disease stage and concomitant diseases was proposed. The features of violation of cartilage and bone tissue were determined for patients with osteoarthritis depending on the stage of disease and combined locomotor pathology. The necessity of MRI investigation of joints for early examination of morphological changes in patients with osteoarthritis and for their SYSADOA therapy following was confirmed. The comparative morphological analysis of joint's cartilage bioptates in patients with II-nd X-ray stage of osteoarthritis before and after chondroitin sulfatis treatment testifies the increase of hondrocytes functional activity, cartilage repair and decrease of its destruction. The clinical and diagnostic algorithm of diagnosis and safe treatment of patients with osteoarthritis, cardiovascular and gastrointestinal diseases, increased tolerance to glucose were elaborated. The new methods of treatment of patients with osteoarthritis and combined locomotor system pathology (osteoporosis, gout) were proposed.
