Essay

Research object: natural vegetation of the Rostochia region. Research objective: structure and dynamic trends of Rostochia's vegetation and differentiation of its diversity with it's generalization in the hierarchical scheme of forest ecosystems syntaxa classification and genetically related to them communities, definition of fitosozological value of the vegetation in the region, development of scientific substantiation of ways of its to protection, conservation and renaturalization. Research Methods: Floral J. Braun-Blanquet method, classical methods of forestry, geobotany, fitosoziology and comparative floristics. Scientific Novelty: the work is the first monographic research in the context on the conceptual foundations of the systematic approach to the study of vegetation within regions, and understanding of the multiplicity of regional phytodiversity as a single genetic formation resulting in a coherent picture of the forest vegetation covering structure in the Roztochia forest region, which allowed for the first time develop the regional syntaxons diagnoses to the level of associations and vegetation classification scheme based on the method of J. Braun-Blanquet. It allowed to identify new syntaxons for the region: 4 associations, 57 variants associations, 25 communities of vegetation, to aggregate generalized flora of the region and its representation in syntaxa, to identify relationships between the flora and vegetation, to analyze vegetation syntaxonomic structure using the methods of comparative floristics, to identify temporal trends, genetic series and syntaxons of the potential region vegetation, to set the sozological value of fitobiota using scales adapted to the floristic classification of vegetation and composition of the rare phytocoenotic, identified by J. Braun-Blanquet. Implementation: The work materials are used by State Administration of Environmental Protection in the Lviv region for the Program for Protected Areas in Ukraine prospective development and to ensure the scientific performance of the measures on regional ecological network, formation to create a database and geographic information systems compatible with European, monitoring environmental environment, developing recommendations and methods for biodiversity inventory of regionally rare objects fitobiotas. The dissertations materials were also used to create a "Project on Nature Reserve "Rostochia" territory organization (1995), for writing the Annals of Nature Reserve" Rostochia "(1985-1998) and Yavorov NPP (2006-2008), for the project development on of international biosphere reserve "Rostochia" and his Nomination Form submitted to the MAB UNESCO in 2008. Research results are used in the learning process in NUFWT as databases, identification syntaxa, synopses of flora and vegetation. Branch of Implementation: forestry and nature conservation.
