Object of researches: rollers of ССM, monometallic, bimetallic, with a welded protective layer. Determining the main regularities in high-temperature degradation of metals at the stage of nucleation, coalescence and propagation of fatigue cracks, as well as to developing methodological approaches for assessing the technical state and increasing the reliability of residual life predictions for rolls of the continuous casting machines (CCM) is dedicated. The substantive provisions of dissertation, formulated conclusions and recommendations, are grounded with bringing in of mathematical methods of probability, kinetic theory of fatigue, statistical methods and analysis of results of experimental researches theory.
