Essay

Object of research: electrotechnological complexes for production of high-voltage and superhigh-voltage cables with crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation. The purpose of research: development of scientific basis for creation of electrotechnological complex for production of high-voltage and superhigh-voltage cables with XLPE insulation including creation of new analysis conception for electric field disturbed with aggregate of defects in cable elements as well as development of new methods for production of these elements taking into account the mutual coupling between its parameters. Methods of research: methods for mathematical and physical simulation, analytical methods of theory of electromagnetic field and electrical circuits, finite-element method, statistical technology for analysis differential amplitude spectra of partial discharges. Theoretical and practical results: new concept of the analysis of an electric field in insulation of cables in view of local field intensity and intense volume as well as cumulative influence on them of different defects and parameters of cable elements is developed. New assessment criteria of insulation quality and principles of construction of installations for extrusion coatings on a metal conductor of polymeric insulation and its vulcanization are worked out. The methods for manufacturing of heavy-section cable conductors with the increased quality its surface are developed. For the first time the principles of construction of energy-effective systems for test of superhigh-voltage cables by increased voltage as well as for measuring of a level of partial discharges in these cables are determined. New electrotechnological installation for thermal treatment and pressing of aluminum ingots is designed. It was worked out the new high-voltage cable design in which the new technique for temperature diagnostics of XLPE insulation and semiconducting layer is developed. Degree of introduction: for the first time in the CIS on Joint-Stock Company "Factory "Pivdenkabel" (Kharkov, Ukraine) the electrotechnical complexes for industrial production of reliable and ecological cables with XLPE insulation on high- and superhigh-voltages are created and realized. Results are recommended for manufacturing application on electrotechnical manufacturers of Ukraine as well as for using in studies at NTUU "KPI" and NTU "KHPI".
