Essay

The thesis is dedicated to developing theoretical basis of combined wall flow control, such as: Large Eddy Breakup devices, longitudinal regular microriffling of streamlined surface (riblets), wall jets, and polymer additives injection into wall flow region. The hybrid turbulence model and calculative methods, adapted to accounting the mentioned control methods both for separate and combined usage is worked out. Theoretical background for purposeful creation of technical recommendations for combined control optimization of flow around perspective transport vehicles is developed.
