The research results are following: development of theoretical frameworks and methodological approaches to forest bioproductivity assessment in the Northeast of Ukraine, and development of reference data for assessment of carbon dynamics in forests. During the study we used the information from the database "Forest Fund of Ukraine" (presented by the Ukrainian State Forest Inventory Service "Ukrderzhlisproekt"), observations on II level forest monitoring plots, on plots of complex studies, on forest inventory plots in national park "Gomilshanski lisy" and environmental profiles, and published data on biological productivity of forest stands in the area of research or related areas with similar conditions. Field research was conducted by using of forest monitoring technique level II program FHM (Forest Health Monitoring) adopted for Ukraine, level II forest monitoring of ICP-Forest program, methods of forest inventory and monitoring developed with participation of the author, as well as the methodology generally used in the forest measurement, forestry and forest ecology. In this study the peculiarities were found out on the dynamics of productivity and structure of forest stands in the north-east of Ukraine, on the dynamics of carbon in different components of forest stands and the absorption of photosynthetic active radiation (PAR). The models and tables of growth and phytomass of modal pine stands in conditions of fresh subir were developed, stocks and dynamics of detritus (litter, dead wood) in forest stands and its role in carbon dynamics were find out. The regulatory bases on evaluating of carbon dynamics in the major forest types and the scientific and methodological foundations of national GHG accounting system in forestry sub-sector according to Kyoto Protocol were developed, assessment of forest ecosystems vulnerability to climate change and forecasting of their dynamics in conditions of climate change by using of models were carried out. The proposals on standards of forest management in forests of north-east of Ukraine were grounded, including the ages of cutting of coppiced oak stands.
