The dissertation is connected with the problems of retrospective dosimetry of environment and population by means of electron paramagnetic resonance of quartz and tooth enamel. The formation mechanisms, localization places and properties of main radiation-activated centres in quartz and tooth enamel have been determined. The new approaches and methods that give possibilities for increasing of sensitiveness, reliability and expressness of environment and population retrospective dosimetry have been developed. The effectiveness of the developed methods and approaches and reliability of the obtained results have been confirmed in the frame of several International projects and Programs.
