Essay

The dissertation includes theoretical conclusions and development of scientific foundations of increasing resistance of woody and lawn grass plants to stress conditions of the environment. During the process of writing this dissertation, we evaluated methodological approaches and conducted scientific research of woody and grass plants that are grown in natural conditions. The level of staleness of anatomical-morphological indicators and adaptation of woody plants to the conditions that provide them with moisture, nitrogen, phosphorus potassium and excess lead and mercury was discovered. Growth in the amount of the free amino acids and the reduction in quantity of pigments in plants under conditions of high concentration of lead and mercury in the life-giving environment were determined. It was shown that stress influence of heavy metals in the environment induces activation of the plants antioxidant system by increasing activity of such enzymes as super oxide dismutase, catalase and peroxidase. Theoretical and practical recommendations for regulation adaptive potential of woody and lawn grass plants under conditions of moisture and elements of mineral nutrition were developed.
