Essay

The thesis is devoted to investigation of some questions which are connected with development and application of methods of the theory of locally nilpotent derivations to classical invariant theory and vice versa.A general method for constructing kernels of linear locally nilpotent derivations and their Poincare series are proposed. The results of the thesis are of theoretical character and can be applied in the invariant theory, commutative algebra, algebraic geometry, representation theory and combinatorics.
