Essay

The object of study: the processes of structural transformation in the regional socio-economic systems as a component of the national economy, and the regulation of such systems' development in the context of globalization and regionalization. The aim of study: the scientific and methodological justification of regional socio-economic systems structural transformation foundations, and the development of practical recommendations relating to the process of their regulation for balanced long-term economic growth and welfare level increase ensuring and support. Methods of study: monographic; economic analysis; economic and statistical method; economic and mathematical modeling; morphological method; logical and structural method; graphics and cartographic methods. The practical significance of results lays in the ability to create and form the system of management and control over the structural changes which will help in future to make the informed business decisions and to regulate all transformational processes in the regions taking into account particular qualities and features of the process of rebuilding in the national economic system. Scientific novelty of results lies in fact that it was the first time when the scientific interpretation of "structural changes" concept with the disclosure of the essential characteristics of new economic conditions of farming was given; and the economic-mathematical model of the interaction of institutional agents to stimulate investments into the progressive structural changes of regional economy was developed. Were implemented: the content of basic categorical concepts and basic assumptions within the theory of structural changes; methodical approaches to the assessment of specificity and features of structural-dynamic changes in regional socio-economic systems; the comprehensive assessment of the structural transformations in the regional socio-economic systems; the organizational and economic mechanism of structural changes in the regional socio-economic system regulation; the fundamental approaches to differentiation and ranking of regions by the level of their innovation development; the mechanism of financial support of innovative activities development in the region; conceptual approaches to the processes of forecasting and regulation of convertible socio-economic systems development in the region. Further developments have got: scientific approaches to the processes of regional development in the system of dynamical changes management and controlling, and to the process of regional socio-economic structures transformation with the definition of mechanism of structural policy implementation in the region; the definition and justification of the system of proportions in the development of regional socio-economic systems; approaches to the process of economical structure of regions forecasting in accordance with the aggregated types of the economic activity.
