The object of research: innovation processes in regions and their infrastructure maintenance. The purpose: to develop theoretical and methodological bases and practical recommendations for the establishment and operation of infrastructure support of innovation processes in regions. Methods: historical and logical generalization, system, synthesis and analysis, induction, deduction, measurement, comparison, economy and statistical, strategic analysis, modeling, structural and functional, program target, image, the graph mapping graphic and cartographic. Results: a new paradigm of innovation development of the region, based on five factors of theory of economic growth (investment, information, intelligence, innovation, innovation infrastructure); non-linear process model of the innovation process, which involves the interaction of the participants of the innovation process, bringing new knowledge generated throughout the economic system is proposed; method of evaluation of technology transfer infrastructure as part of the innovation process using the coefficients is developed; the nature of the updated economic categories such as “an innovative process in the region”, “innovation infrastructure of the region”, “regional innovation system”, “regional policy infrastructure of innovation processes” is improved and their role in creating the innovation system of the region is defined; classification features of elements of innovation infrastructures of the region, methodical approach to the evaluation of the innovation process in the region; methodological approaches to the evaluation of innovation infrastructure in the region, the approach to the selection of the type of innovation processes (formation, development, augmentation, support), a regional institutional mechanism for technology transfer network (RMTT) on the basis of regional technology transfer centers (TTC) are shown; the approaches to assessment of innovation processes in regions, the state criteria for selecting regional innovation policy on the basis of evaluation of innovative processes in the areas of structural and functional patterns of innovation infrastructures of the region and its individual elements based on a systematic approach, which is the basis for the development of monitoring and evaluation had the further development; mechanism of technology transfer processes in the research and innovative activity of regions by forming a regional network of technology transfer (RMTT), financial support for innovative business in the region; program-target method of training of specialists for research and innovation activities and innovation infrastructures of the region, information management of innovative processes in the regions by creating a regional system information (RSI) are developed. Implementation: the research themes “Mechanisms of Stimulation of Socio-economic Development of Region” and “Mechanisms of Rise of Competitiveness of Regions of Ukraine” are carrying out by Lutsk National Technical University; by the Department of Economics of Volyn Regional State Administration, by the Department of Education and Science of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, by Volyn Regional Centre for Investment and Development, by Volyn Chamber of Commerce, by Science Park “Innovation and investment cluster Ternopil”; while teaching such subjects in Lutsk National Technical University and Volyn National University named after Lesia Ukrainka.
