Essay

The dissertation focuses on the study of the main tendencies, trends in the development of the Ukrainian Folklore Studies in Halychyna. For the first time the conceptual principles of the activity of the Ethnographic Commission of the Shevchenko Scientific Society are systematized. It is grounded that Halychyna represented our traditional spiritual culture by the fundamental folklore collections, important scientific and theoretical studies, numerous articles, reviews. The scientific achievements are presented in the all-Ukrainian and European context.
