Essay

The objects are meadow phytocenoses of the Left-bank Forest-steppe of Ukraine. The aim is the complex bioecological research of meadow phytocenoses of the Left-bank Forest-steppe of Ukraine. The methods are complex biogeocenological, phytocenological; laboratory: biochemical, physiology; cameral, quantitative with the use of statistical. The principal forms of the natural meadow phytocenosis dynamics were determined. Among them the succession degradative changes prevail that lead to synantropization of ecotopes and define the state of the regional meadow vegetation in the future. The main scientific criteria of the monitoring of meadow phytocenoses are developed. For the first time an ecological and physiological research of the meadow species of the regional flora was carried out; their chemical composition, nutritious and energetic value were determined; productivity indicators of different types of meadow phytocenoses were established; a model for prediction their productivity is suggested. The reserve, dynamics of the quantity and energetical potential of the mortmass were determined, as well as a relationship of its accumulation with different conditions. The quantitative (1037 species, which are divided into 399 types, 75 families) and qualitative composition of the meadow flora was established, the core of which is made of mesophyte, xeromesophyte, hypermesophyte floristic complexes. It's proved that semi-rosette, summergreen, pintle and root, root and polycarpic species prevail. The saturation of cenomorphs with principal biomorphs and ecomorphs was investigated. It was found that mesotope and stenotope representatives prevail. The American type Sisyrinchium montanum Greene was first found in the region. Importance of the investigated plants in the human life was surveyed. Particular features of the rare segment of the meadow flora were described and the ways of its preservation were proposed. Profound scientific recommendations for expansion of the natural reserves were developed. Application spheres are phytomonitoring, planning of ecological reserves, training courses.
