It is shown that the occurrence of fire and explosion hazards while using hydrogen on vehicles is due to mechanical and thermal external influences that affect both fire and explosion safety of hydrogen storage systems and vehicles safety as a whole. These mathematical models describe the state of hydrogen in storage system and define the system pressure and time of destruction when exposed to external heat sources. On the basis of obtained mathematical models three types of probabilistic assessment of destruction are defined. It is shown that the least probability of destruction has a system of storage in liquid form (excluding the possible deformation). Experimentally it is shown that proposed mathematical model describe the state of hydrogen in its storage systems with an error not more than 10%, and the error of the difference in destruction time of hydrogen storage system (fire and explosion probability is not more than 20%).
