The thesis is devoted to improving the efficiency of diagnosis, correction and prevention of systemic health disorders in obese children by identifying metabolic syndrome predictors' development based on the study of the metabolic and cardiovascular damage and psychosocial dysadaptation. Lifestyle, psychology, physical development and body composition were examined in Kharkov region adolescents as well as the relationship between anthropometric parameters of children and their parents. Complex analysis of associations between left ventricular geometry and function, 24-hours blood pressure monitoring, exercise tolerance, carotid intima-media thickness and peculiarities of lipid-carbohydrate metabolism was performed in children with different degree of excess weight. Features of the metabolic syndrome components were studied for the metabolic cardiovascular risk prognostic scale in obese children development. A method for assessing the quality of life in obese children was offered. The effectiveness of basic obesity treatment was analyzed and factors impact on the reduction of body weight were discovered. According to the obtaned data integral obesity management system for children was ellaborated.
