Essay

Object of research: the process of integrated development of small and medium-sized cities. Objective: developing the theoretical foundations of strategic planning integrated development of small and medium-sized cities and scientific justification of methodological approaches to the development and implementation of strategic plans for the integrated development of small and medium-sized cities, aimed at improving the quality of life of their inhabitants. Methods: theoretical generalization and comparison, systematic and comparative analysis, statistical analysis, group decision-making matrix, structural and logical analysis, expert opinions, observations, morphological analysis, graphing. Novelty: first prompted to conceptual and categorical apparatus of the theory of the regional economy new categories: architectural disharmony semantic space of small and medium-sized cities and communities of anomie, the mechanism determining the competitiveness of small and medium-sized towns using the average level and average absolute increase in net migration population, developed a new organizational and methodical approach to strategic planning integrated development of small and medium-sized cities, improved model of strategic planning integrated development of small and medium-sized cities by organizing stages of this process, evaluating the implementation of the strategic plan for the integrated development of the city, the analysis tool for small and medium medium-sized cities by adapting the methods of constructing the profile environment and benchmarking. Scope: during the development of strategic plans and sectoral integrated urban development Radekhiv, Vynogradiv, Dolyna, Rachiv, Chernivtsi, Kamyanetz-Podilsky, Ivano-Frankivsk, and in the practical work of Department of Regional Policy of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and LOGO "Western Regional Training Centre", in the educational process of the National University "Lviv Polytechnic".
