Pashkevych M. Theoretical and methodological foundations of economic policy shaping and regulation mechanisms designing for regional development

The object of study: process of socio-economic development of the region. The aim of study: the development of theoretical and methodological bases and practical recommendations as for the formation of politics and mechanisms of regulation of development of the region. Methods of study: logic generalization; method of synthesis; analysis; method of comparison; historically-logical method; retrospective method; constructive method; phenomenological method; discriminant analysis; factor analysis; method of correlation and regression; method of ranking; sample surveys; dynamic programming. The practical significance of results lies in the development of scientific-applied provisions which help to form an effective economic policy and mechanisms of regulation of development of the region. Scientific novelty of results lies in fact that it was the first time when the concept of agent-process approach to the formation of cluster and network forms of regional economic policy was developed; the new concept of dynamic approach to the regional investment climate formation was grounded. Were implemented: principles of budget management in the context of regional cohesion; classification of regional development by the new features and types in the context of international experience. Further developments have got: provisions on the conditions for the emergence of depressive spatial development of the area; characteristics and methods of socio-economic differentiation of regions in modern terms; methods of analysis of the mechanisms of regional cohesion.
