The object of the study: is the formation of strategic objectives and the development of socio-economic development of the region, the aim of the research: scientific and methodological basis of strategic objectives and principles of the formation of socio-economic development of the region and develop proposals for their effective implementation; theoretical and practical results: by system-dialectical analysis of the region as an economic development and strategic goal-researched approaches to the definition of the region, developed a strategic approach to the typology of regions, the essence and substance of regional strategic development, in-depth approaches to the construction of goals by their decomposition and typing, improved process of strategic objectives in the region, the model of whole reliance, improved methods of approach to the formation of strategic objectives in the region, formed its principles, is a procedure for performing the basic steps of the algorithm strategic goals laying identified objectives of regional policy, made comparative analysis of existing state programs, the estimation of the effectiveness of the strategic regional development programs, defined the problem of the formation of strategic objectives at the regional level, the methodology of the formation mechanism of the strategic objectives in the region, by modeling of the conditions of the objectives of economic growth in the region, defined conceptual target areas of socio-economic development, the proposed model structure strategic socio-economic development of the region.
