Essay

The thesis is devoted to theoretical study of thermal properties of substances accumulating and then releasing considerable energy, and their phase diagrams at extreme conditions. A theoretical equation of state for strongly anharmonic crystals, accounting for binary and ternary correlations between displacements of particles and describing their properties at high temperatures and pressures is derived. The comparison of predicted properties of the model Lennard-Jones crystal in a wide range of reduced temperatures with Monte Carlo simulation data shows the accuracy of this theoretical equation of state.
