Essay

The thesis are devoted to studying of the properties of the strong interaction between light and free-electron gas in solids in regime of excitation of localized electromagnetic waves with different nature (local plasmon excitation, surface plasmon polaritons, waveguiding and photonic modes) in spatially inhomogeneous nanoscale plasmonic-photonic heterostructures consisting of plasmon-carrying (metal or heavily doped semiconductors) and dielectric media.
