Essay

The thesis deals with the study of the structural-functional status of liver and pancreas upon long-term suppression of gastric acid secretion. The results of performed investigations clearly indicate the development of inflammation which is associated with the progression of oxydative stress in liver and pancreas upon these experimental conditions. As the result of these disturbances, both the damage of the functional status and further possible formation of fibrosis in liver and the intrapancreatic activation of protolytic enzymes which may lead to the development of acute pancreatitis can occur. The leading role of pathogenic microbiota in violation of structural and functional state of liver and pancreas upon long-term suppression of gastric acid secretion were established.
