Object of research - disturbed forest, urban and technologically transformed ecosystems in the Carpathian region of Ukraine. Purpose - to identify the main causes and factors of transformation processes in disturbed forest, urban and antropogenic ecosystems of the Carpathian region of Ukraine, to study their impact on the state and changes in the structure and dynamics of phytocenosis and edaphotops, and to develop scientific foundations of phytomelioration measures. Research methods: general scientific; floral; forestry-biometric; soil science; expert assessment; scenario modeling; mathematic and statistic methods. Scientific novelty. For the first time a theoretical and methodological framework for establishing the degree of disturbed ecosystems transformation developed which is based on scoring components of forest area and floral diversity; scientific approaches to the creation of new nature protection areas on forest lands of the country based on the evaluation of floral, natural components of forest stands and rarity of plant communities of forest ecosystems; vegetation succession dynamics of post-industrial areas of Kolomiyskiy lignite and Yazivskiy sulfur mining areas established; historical stages of development and environmental, economic and social problems of phytomelioration systematized in the context of sustainable development of territories; technology of phytomelioration measures which takes into account the conditions of habitat transformation degree elaborated. The practical significance. The research results are introduced into the practical activities of the Lviv Regional Forestry and Hunting Department and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources of the Lviv Regional State Administration; into the research programs of the Institute of Ecology of the Carpathians, National Academy of the Sciences of Ukraine; the study process of the Ukrainian National Forestry University. Field of application: forestry, gardening and nature conservation management.
