Hoblyk V. Formation and development of cross-border regions between Ukraine and the EU

Object of study: the process of formation and development of cross-border regions between Ukraine and neighboring EU countries. Objective: justification of the theoretical and methodological principles of formation and development of cross-border regions between Ukraine and the EU and developing of practical recommendations for the use of reserves intensification of foreign economic relations within them. Methods: systematic and monographic, historical and chronological, quantitative and qualitative analysis and synthesis, surveys, structural and logical, matrix, empirical and statistical, analysis of hierarchies, modeling, graphical visualization. Novelty: for the first time grounded methodological base study processes of formation and development of cross-border regions as integral system objects, developed the methodical approach to the study of processes of convergence of cross-border regions, based on the calculation of economic gravity between regions of neighboring states, proposed classification of foreign economic institutional barriers activation of cross-border cooperation between Ukraine and the EU, improved institutional features justification European regions in the formation and development of cross-border regions, classification activation mechanisms of foreign trade activities between the border regions of Ukraine and EU member states, systematizing its investment climate factors for each of the cross-border regions formed at the border between Ukraine and the EU. Scope: in the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in the preparation of materials for participation the delegation of Ukraine in The Monitoring Committee of border cooperation programs "Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine", "Ukraine-Poland-Belarus", "Ukraine-Romania-Moldova" and "Basins of the Black Sea", the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the draft Law of Ukraine "On industrial parks", Transcarpathian regional Council for adoption in Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe of resolution 315 (2010) and recommendations 296 (2010) "Sustainable Mountain Development and Experience Carpathian Mountains".
