Essay

The object of study: the processes of socio-economical development in the regions. The aim of study: the grounding of scientific and methodological foundations of economic modernization of the regions and the development of practical recommendations as to the enhancement of regions' passing to the innovative way of development, as well as ensuring of a long-term economic growth. Methods of study: methods of analysis and synthesis; statistical and economic methods; method of systematic and structural analysis; graphical analysis; abstract and logical methods; method of expert analysis; economic modeling; monographic. The practical significance of results lies in possibility to form the system of regional modernization processes management and their regulation with due account of specific features of reproduction processes in the national economy. Scientific novelty of results lies in fact that it was the first time when the scientific interpretation of the concept of "the requirement level of economical modernization in the region" was given, and the tools for this concept assessment were developed; the levels of transformation of the regional socio-economic systems in the spacing-time dimension with the due account of modernization processes in them were made. Were implemented: the definitions of research; methodological approaches to the comprehensive assessment of modernization potential of economy in the regions; the mechanism of organization of realization of the strategy in the process of economical modernization in the region. Further development have got: approaches to the development of strategy of economical modernization in the region and multileveled system of regional development planning.
