The thesis focuses on the study of the semantic emotive vocabulary of the German language in the VIII – early XXI centuries. The research singles out typical and atypical areas of the subject; their stage development has been proved and the semantic parameters of the emotive vocabulary have been defined; the historical core of the lexical-semantic field "emotiveness" has been restricted and the dynamics of its semantic changes has been analyzed; structural and semantic peculiarities of the emotive vocabulary are researched; the manyaspective classification of the phenomenon is suggested; the conceptual schemes of emotive words, formed illogically, are reconstructed and the deep reconstruction of emotive vocabulary with disputable and dark etymology are realiyed; the stages of creating emotive meaning in polysemantical words are identified; the semantic model of their development is built; the peculiarities of functioning of the emotive vocabulary in different periods of the German language development are characterized; the methods of the research are worked out; the necessity of the polyparadigmatical approach to the semantic development of the emotive vocabulary is grounded.
