Kalashnikov O. Hip Joint Osteoarthrosis: Prognostication of Course and Prophylaxis of Progress (clinical experimental study)

Thesis research contains new approach to the scientific problem, stipulating improvement of the disease course prognostication, and prophylaxis of hip coxarthrosis development based on defining the factors of progression, development of diagnostic and prognostication algorithm of disease evolution, and the scheme of complex measures, depending on the stages and forms of pathological process. In the research complex analysis of 506 patients, suffering from IV stage of coxarthrosis was performed according to J.H. Kellgren and J.S. Lawrence. On the grounds of clinical X-ray, instrumental and laboratory studies, the reliable factors and markers of development and progression of various forms of hip joint osteoarthrosis, different in etiology and progression, have been defined. In the research forms of coxarthrosis progression are identified, groups of risk of rapid progression are indicated and conceptual model of structural and functional disorders evolution in cases of hip joint osteoarthrosis is developed. The diagnostic and prognostication algorithm and the scheme of complex prophylaxis measures for patients suffering from hip joint osteoarthrosis has been developed depending on the pathological process' stage and progression.
