Pedachenko Y. Surgical treatment of neurocompressive syndromes in lumbar spinal stenosis in patients of different age groups

The dissertation contains a solution of important problem for neurosurgery - increase of effectiveness of surgical treatment of patients of different age with neurocompressive syndromes due to lumbar spinal stenosis. Based on 570 clinical cases, specific features of disease in different age groups were determined. The main method of treatment of this pathology is surgery. Based on our investigations it was proposed to choose method of surgical treatment depending on patient's age. This approach gives a possibility to reach positive clinical effect and increases quality of life. Complex of investigations was performed, which allowed to create national system of dynamic spine fixation and to implement it into clinical practice for treatment of patients with lumbar spinal stenosis.
