The object of investigation is socio-economic and ecological processes that have led to the current ecosituation in the agricultural area of the Horyn basin. The aim of investigation was to develop landscape and environmental monitoring and evaluation of ecobalanced functioning of rivers basin agrosphere and reasoning of the priority trends and objectives for improving the basin ecosituation in the Horyn basin ecosystem. Methods of investigation. The methodological basis of investigation was the method of system analysis, modeling method, including mathematics, analogies, comparisons, experimental methods; statistical and graphical methods, method neural networks. Scientific novelty of the results. Scientific results obtained by the author, develop new essence of the notion "river basin" as a complex socio-economic and ecological system with definition of general and additional classification features, the theory of quantitative and qualitative evaluation of river basin agrosphere in the process of agrosphere transition to sustainable development, theoretical foundations of sustainable development strategies development and monitoring methodology of the crisis phenomena in the agricultural sphere. Practical significance of the results. Scientific research results and algorythms how to evaluate the state of the river basin agrosphere according to social, economic and ecological indices developed on their basis are used in the process of working out the strategies of sustainable development of the districts which are a part of the basin and can be used in the further implementation of the basin management system. The research results have practical application to carry out the "Regional Programme of Environment Protection and Rational Use of Natural Resources in 2013-2018", were included in the "Strategy for Sustainable Community Development of Zdolbuniv district in 2013-2017".
