Essay

The scientific problems of expanding the range of normal wear and low friction in the sliding tribosystems under boundary lubrication by an increase lubricity of the liquid crystal additives is solved. The work developed theoretical foundations of molecular aggregation of surfactants in nonpolar solutions, process of physical adsorption of the liquid crystal additives on metal surfaces. Developed advanced molecular theory of boundary friction component, which dependences to determine the thickness of the liquid crystalline film limit.
