Babko A. Comprehensive orthodontic treatment of rheumatoid arthritis patients with lesions of the upper extremities

The dissertation work includes a new approach to solving a scientific problem, providing for the improvement of orthopedic surgical treatment of RA patients with lesions of the upper extremity and predict the results of treatment by determining factors in the development, design kontseptual scheme of pathogenesis of formation of lesions of the joints of the upper extremity and schemes of complex actions depending on the stage and grade joint damage extremity. The work is based on comprehensive research analysis of 280 patients with RA. On the basis of clinical, instrumental and laboratory studies identified significant factors of development and progression of the disease, predicting the results of arthroplasty of the elbow joint. The anatomical experiment, the dependence of the spatial orientation of the bones forming the elbow and wrist joints from intra pressure proved that the mechanism of formation of false plants segments of the forearm in patients with rheumatoid arthritis depends on the index of the pressure in the joint. For the first time calculated the speed indicator of burdening of the patient with RA affecting the upper extremities. A scheme of successive recovery of upper extremitses function in the later stages of RA via mobilizing and stabilizing surgery.
