Medvid' V. Methodological principles of economic regulation of regional development

Research object: the processes of economic, social and environmental development of the regions of Ukraine. Research purpose: deepening of theoretical positions regarding the reproductive approach to the regional economy in the conditions of decentralization of power, justification of methodological provisions of regulation of regional development taking into account the structural changes in the composition of productive forces and the implementation of the European integration course. Research methods: a systematic approach, analysis and synthesis, analogy; statistical; logical abstraction; economic-mathematical modeling. Theoretical and practical value: the solution of the urgent scientific problem is proposed; it concerns overcoming of social contradictions in the progressive development of regions using the economic regulation of regional development through the scientific substantiation of the relevant theoretical, methodological and methodical principles and practical recommendations. Scientific novelty: The general characteristics of the concept of region are revealed through the notions of territory, population, economic ties and relations, nature management and environmental protection. The modern tools for regional development are defined more profoundly, structured paradigmatic components of economic regulation of regional development. The principles and instruments of economic regulation of regional development are improved in the context of European integration. The methods and means for economic regulation of regional development are theoretically summarized. The methodical approaches to space-time positioning of the regions of Ukraine in terms of their economic development are improved. The criterion measurements and the evaluation system of the Ukrainian regional landscape efficiency are presented and developed. Refined the features of current economic regulation of regional development, scientifically substantiated the basic requirements for the effectiveness of economic regulation of regional development. The development and implementation mechanisms of long-term regional development strategies and strategic plans. The mechanism of economic regulation of regional development based on systematic-structural approach is proposed.
