Hinda O. Poetic works by the Ukrainian community in Italy in the early 21st century in the context of folklore tradition: plots, genres and intertextuality.

The author has analyzed contexts, prerequisites, early stages, and uniqueness of the phenomenon of mass “poetry writing” of the Ukrainian migrant workers in Italy. The thesis has proved typological similarity of the plots of Ukrainian folk songs on emigration and the poetry by contemporary migrant workers. Besides, there has been determined that the corpus of the given poems has conceptual integrity and includes poetry of various genres. The author of the paper has evaluated the brightest intertextual parameters of the poetry, namely the titles of the poems, dialogical nature and functioning of the “foreign words” (i.e. Italian vocabulary).
