Essay

This research focuses on femoroacetabular impingement syndrome in patients with growing hip joint. Based on clinical, radiological, biomechanical and histomorphological studies found the features of disorders, the essence of this pathology and solved the problem of different approaches to prevention and treatment. The research was based on structural and functional disorders of the hip joint in patients of child, teen and youthful age with predictable and available clinical and radiological sings of femoroacetabular impingement in 650 patients. Proposed criteria for prognosis of the femoroacetabular impingement syndrome which are based on determining skeletal maturity and severity of lesions, allow avoiding unnecessary interventions and getting shorter unreasonable tactics of expectations, optimally using the potential of growth period and maturation. Using a developed system of prediction, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of syndrome improves the results of reconstructive surgery in the case of the most common diseases of the hip joint and their consequences in patients of child, teen and youthful age.
