Essay

The thesis deals with physical regularities and mechanisms of structural-topological self-organization in network chalcogenide vitreous systems. Chalcogenide network glasses of Asx(S/Se)100-x and Gex(S/Se)100-x families have been used as model objects. It is established that structure of these glasses obeys chemically-ordered bond network model based on "chain-crossing" and "outrigger raft" mofits. The universal mechanism of structural-topological self-organization in network chalcogenide glasses is developed. It includes two stages: local alignment of chalcogen-rich regions and overall shrinkage of glass volume.
