Drozdov O. Psychology of the Mass Geopolitical Consciousness

Dissertation is devoted to the research of the mass geopolitical consciousness. The concept of this phenomenon is developed, a system model that reflects the specifics of its structure and functioning among the citizens of Ukraine is suggested. Mass geopolitical consciousness is understood as a form of everyday reflection of geopolitical events, simplified display of geopolitical reality by agglutination and interference of social, political and geographical categories (senses) in individual and collective consciousness. As a result the specific mental representations of political space (geopolitical mental maps) are formed. The psychosemantic peculiarities of everyday geopolitical representations of Ukrainians are exposed.
